Biological Age & Speed of Aging
Two numbers that reframe the conversation — your age, and how fast you are actually aging.
What This Is
Biological age and speed-of-aging measures use patterns in your biology — often reflected in blood markers or epigenetic signals — to estimate how your body is aging relative to your calendar age. They offer a different lens than simply counting years.
Why It Matters
Two people of the same chronological age can have very different biological trajectories. These measures help frame whether your current habits are associated with aging faster or slower than expected, and whether interventions are making a meaningful difference.
What We Evaluate
- An estimated biological age relative to chronological age
- Indicators of the pace of aging
- Patterns associated with faster or slower aging
- A reference point for tracking change over time
What You Can Learn
- Whether your biology appears older or younger than your years
- A directional sense of how quickly you are aging
- Whether later changes are moving the needle in a favorable direction
How It Fits Into Your Journey
This is a signature Discovery metric. It frames the entire journey: the goal of later phases is to influence these numbers in a favorable direction over time.
What Happens Next
We interpret the result in context — not in isolation — and use it as a motivating, trackable reference point for the work ahead.
Frequently Asked
It is an estimate based on patterns in your biology, not an exact measurement. Trends over time matter more than any single value.
Lifestyle and targeted interventions can shift the markers these estimates rely on. Tracking change over time is the most meaningful use.
The approach is chosen based on your goals and available evidence. We discuss the strengths and limitations of any method we use.
